Ould Abbas: “Government Guarantees Wages, Employment”

General Secretary of the National Liberation Front, Djamal Ould Abbas, praised, on Saturday, the strength of his party, which he called the new Liberation Front 1954 thanks to its good leadership and keenness to gather all categories of the society, and access to nearly one million militants, recalling the sweep that it achieved during the local elections and the high participation rate thanks to the party lovers, who renewed that it is the state’s party and the state itself.

Ould Abbas confirmed, in a speech at the opening of a regional forum for the voters of six western cities, that was hosted by the Culture House in the city of Tiaret, on Saturday, that the party supports the President Abdelaziz Bouteflika in his actions concerning Amazigh identity by decreeing the celebration of Yennayer Day as a paid holiday and the establishment of the Amazigh Language Academy, and the restoration of the martyrs’ skulls and the archive of Algeria during the French occupation.

Ould Abbas, who was accompanied by a number of leaders of the party and his deputies in the parliament with its two chambers and ministers, discussed privatization and explained that it does not mean the large companies like Sonatrach and Sonelgaz, but it is limited to small and medium enterprises, such as those established within the framework of state support for employment, this form of private capital should not affect the concerned institutions, jobs or wages, which he said he agreed with the Federation of Workers and the Federation of Businessmen.

On the other hand, Ould Abbas called on his party’s voters to respond to the demands of the voters and to ensure cleanliness and integrity, and insisted on avoiding bribery in the conduct of electoral promises to reassure the elected representatives of the existence of sufficient funds to achieve all programs, denying that the state is unable to pay wages, in reference to what had already been announced by Ouyahia earlier.

As for the national development programs, the spokesman confirmed the role of the President of the Republic in providing housing, dams and schools since 2009, asserting that the 2019 elections are not to be discussed, even though he confirmed that the participation rate will reach at least 80%, due to the increase of rates in every Presidential Elections, due to the awareness of FLN militants.
