Over 200,000 employees to paralyze hospitals, schools and departments

Over 200,000 employees in education and solidarity launched an open-ended strike, after their ministries refused to comply with their demands relating to the settlement of their pended status.

Several key sectors noticed protests out of the ministries doors and consecutive strikes by the working class, under the flag of independent syndicates like Solidarity sector, and professors contractors and class of common services of the education sector, and practitioners of public health, as all of them decided to celebrate the Workers Day through protesting, hoping to express their anger and achieve their demands.

In this context, the National Union of Education’s Common Services, increased the tone of challenge against the Education Ministry, through installing the decision to launch a three days’ strike, and sit-ins out of the education departments’ doors, followed by national strikes on May, and also threatened to boycott the next school year, bearing responsibility of the ministry in raising the social tension, after the unpopular decisions that affected the purchasing power of this category, and Benghabrit’s ignorance of their raised demands.

On the other hand, the invitation of the Head of Health Syndicate,  Youcef Yousfi, to launch a strike did not receive a response, and the health sector strike was limited on a group and was less severe, as some doctors, dentists and pharmacists launched a strike, alleging that it would be followed by regional protests, asking the Health Minister Boudiaf to respond to the demands of settling the status of competitions, and review their classifications, after the rank 13 remained the same, in addition to the equality and balance between the old and new owners of the graduations, as they occupy positions with the same tasks despite the two graduations are different, and the Basic Law and other deferred demands as well.

Over 23,000 workers of the national solidarity and the family and women’s issues launched a three-day national strike, on Monday, as the Federation that belongs to the Independent National Union of Public Administration Employees “SNAPAT” sent a notice of strike to the National Solidarity Ministry.
