Government definitively decided about the issue of professionalism qualification for lawyers’ profession, and after it carried previous proposals for a draft law on Lawyers’ law for the extension of the training period for a competency certificate to three years.
Executive branch reduced it only to one year, as it is adopted currently after passing the competition which is a prerequisite under the Executive Decree, which will soon be published in the Official Gazette.
According to what was stated in the draft executive decree which defines the ways of joining the training to obtain a qualification certificate for the lawyers’ profession, it was decided that the training has not changed, and it remained one year as was the case previously.
According to the project which Echorouk obtained a copy of it, after the government’s Council approved it at the meeting of January, 7, the successful candidates in join the lawyers’ profession contest pursuing a configuration for a year, in order to obtain the efficiency of the legal profession certificate, which is the key practice of the profession.
