Quarter Of A Million Moroccan Immigrants Present In Algeria
The Algerian League for the Defense of Human Rights revealed on Sunday, that Algeria counts a quarter of a million illegal immigrants from Morocco who are working in the fields of construction and mostly in agriculture.
According to a report worked out by the Association on the occasion of the International Day of Migration, “Algeria has more than 250,000 illegal immigrants from brotherly Morocco, most of whom live in secret, with most of them working in gypsum decoration and agriculture”.
It added that Algeria currently shelters “more than 29 thousand illegal immigrants coming from 23 African countries, stressing that around 36 thousand illegal immigrants have been deported back to their own countries over the past five years.”
