“SAIPEM” paid 190 million Euros as a bribe to Algerian politicians

Crucial news about the bribes’ scandal and international corruption of Sonatrach, Eni and Saipem, show that a leaked phone call of the former Executive Director of the Saipem, Paolo Scaroni, with the former Economic Development Minister, Claudio Passera, confirmed clearly that Saipem has actually paid bribes to the Algerians.
Scaroni told the Algerian Minister that the commissions ranged between 2 and 3%, of the total Saipem transactions.
Content of leakage was published in the newspaper ‘Corriere Della Sera’, which is the largest Italian newspaper, as the call was monitored and heard in January 2013, as Scaroni said; “Yes, I’m sure that they were bribes that were paid to Algerian politicians.
