Second Heinous Assassination of Algerian Young Man Within A Week In Marseille

Algerian young man, Yazid Zarfa, aged 27, was horrendously killed in the 15th district of the French southern city of Marseilles on Sunday night when an unknown gunman riddled his body with 12 shots.

Despite the fact that the services of medical aid in France rushed him to the city hospital, he was already dead at the scene of the shooting.

French police have opened an investigation into the causes and circumstances of this heinous crime against this second Algerian young man hailing from Khenchela province (eastern Algeria) in less than one week after the murder of Algerian young man Fatimi Naim, who died treacherously after being shot by a gunman near a mosque In the fifteenth district of Marseille. 

In a bitter reaction, angry Algerians settled there, have accused the Consulate, parliamentarians and representatives of the Algerian community abroad, of failing to communicate with the French authorities so as to stop the cycle of rising violence and wanton killing of Algerians in France, specifically in the city of Marseille.

According to the information secured by “Echorouk” from expatriates residing in Marseille, the victim was present at a shaver’s shop in the fifteenth district of Marseille when suddenly an unknown person came out of his car, and fired a hail of bullets on the hapless Algerian young man before fleeing, as the city was preparing to celebrate New Year’s Day.
