Security Services Dismantle A Cell To Recruit Youth In ISIS Via Facebook

On Friday, the security services managed, on Friday, to dismantle a cell of six men who recruited youth to join the terrorist organization, ISIS outside the country.

According to Echorouk sources, the suspects “19 and 30”, five of them are from Baidh and one from Batna, where the arrest of the suspects followed intensive investigations and a two-month follow-up.

The efforts of the police unit that is specialized in cyber crime have led to the discovery of the involvement of detainees in recruiting youth through social networks to join ISIS.

The same sources added that the members of the recruitment cell used the names of aliases via Facebook to attract recruits by promising money, and stuffing their minds with extremist ideas that call for arms and fighting in the ranks of ISIS.

The defendants in the case, and when browsing their accounts on Facebook the electronic crime fighting team found that they were praising the bloody work of the terrorist groups, then arrested them and referred them to the Secretary of Republic of Baidh Court, which ordered the placement of five of them in temporary imprisonment, and placed sixth under judicial supervision on charges of recruitment into armed groups and praising terrorism, knowing that the accused were practicing free professions, except for one who was unemployed.

Echorouk sources have always revealed that the investigations that were initiated by the joint security services are still continuing to reveal the identity of the others involved, especially since information that was obtained by those interests indicates that there are persons who work in coordination between members of the terrorist cell in both Baiadh and Batna provinces.

It should be noted that, over the past year, the security services of Baiadh dealt with a case of applauding terrorist acts and arrested those involved.
