Sidi M'Hamed court postpones Meziane and his deputy's trial to April

Penal pole of Algiers Sidi M’hamed court postponed the consideration of the case of the former General Manager of Sonatrach, Mohamed Meziane, and his deputy, in charge of file activities, Belkacem Boumediene, who are followed by the customs’ administration on violating the legislation and the movement of capital, to April for the completion of certain legal proceedings in the file of managing customs, and calling upon representatives of “Schlumberger” Company about Emirates branch.

This is the third postponement of its kind, which affects the case, which is related to the import deal between Sonatrach and “Schlumberger”, that is the second case in which Meziane and his deputy are followed, after the basic case “Sonatrach 1”, in which Algiers criminal court will be considered on March,15, as the representative of “Schlumberger” oil services company, stand before the court after being called by the judge last week.
Representative of the company explained that there are two decades that were signed with Sonatrach, and the contract, which has effected the moving the case by the customs administration, does not belong to the branch of the Algerian company “Schlumberger”.
