Counter-terrorism services in both Algeria and France launch joint investigations about investigating about an information about poisoning the terrorist Mokhtar Belmokhtar on last March, Echorouk sources said.
“Terrorist Mokhtar Mokhtar, also called Belaouar, leader of the so-called terrorist group “Al-Mourabitoune”, which is associated with “Al-Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb”, which forms a union between Attawhid and Jihad and Al Mouakioune Biddam organizations, died under the influence of food poisoning on last March.”
Identical sources confirmed that Belmokhtar completely disappeared from sight for nearly 8 months, which is the date of issuing another statement to ensure allegiance to al-Qaeda leader Ayman al-Zawahiri.
Belaouar was seen the last time in the Libyan city Oubari, where the new fighters’ training camps.
Same sources asserted that Belmokhtar’s relatives, who belong to Al Barabiche tribe, from which Belaour married, has talked about being poisoned in March due to internal conflicts between terrorist groups.
Belmokhtar is one of the most dangerous leaders who are active in the Sahel region, and he is the first wanted in the United States, Algeria and France, and is behind the famous Tiguentourine attack that occurred since two years ago.
The sources talked about the loyalty of the terrorist organizations to the so-called “Daesh” and insistence of Belmokhtar on his loyalty to Al Qaeda, which is one of the reasons for his liquidation by people close to him, in order to unify the banner of armed action after most of the terrorist organizations that are active in Libya and Mali, chose Abou Bakr al-Baghdadi, as leader of the so-called organization of Islamic State.
