Industry and Mines Ministry, Abdessalam Bouchouareb, installed 12 industrial groups, including seven new others, in different sectors, in the new framework of the new public industrial and trade plan, which aims to re-sent activity of the national institutions and achieve the economic growth, outside the hydrocarbon sector.

Minister, Abdessalam Bouchouareb, admitted on Monday, in a press conference at Aurassi Hotel, during the inauguration of the mentioned industrial complexes, that the economic pattern of national institutions suffers from failure of management, not to mention that it is unable to keep up with global technology, and failure in the field of research and development, which is absent in national institutions.
“Industrial sector will not notice a growth if we did not make larger efforts and new methods.”
“We can not achieve positive results and engage in partnership with foreigners unless we are pursuing modern methods, such as those that are adopted in new industrial groups. It is time to change mentalities and make a break with the previous economic pattern. These groups will have complete independence in management, and are asked to achieve growth outside the hydrocarbon sector by 7% in 2019, and support the national market through attracting investments.”
“These groups will play a strategic role in the national economy. They must serve as the engine of national institutions in the global marketplace, through the expansion of their activities. They should improve the financial profitability of investments and to be leaders in the national market and encourage investment.”
