Upgrading Amazigh Language Can't Be Achieved Without A Sponsoring Academy

The National Office of the Free Youth of RCD Party said after the meeting of its office at its ordinary session in Algiers on Saturday, that it is convinced more than ever that national cohesion “will not be made without the actual demarcation of our original language”.

The National Office considers that the establishment of a regulatory law to disseminate the teaching of language Amazigh at the national level and its inclusion in the social and political life of the country, is “urgent”, and the same thing is true for the Academy of the Amazigh language, that is provided for in the Constitution of 2016.

The statement added that the “hesitation and inaction” in the inauguration of this academy emphasizes the lack of political will to devote to the constitutional article “Article 4”, which finally devotes Amazigh language as a national and official language at the social level.
