Use Of E-Card Or Fees’ Payment At CPA Bank For Securing Schengen Visas
The Algerian Popular Credit Bank (CPA) is poised to conclude an agreement with the Center for the Study of Visa Applications (PLS) after the French Embassy canceled its contract with TLS Contact, following the scandal involving shady fraudsters and reported manipulations of Schengen visa application funds.
This move will be carried via the electronic TPO card or by depositing the amount of the visa application fee with the Algerian CPA Bank, as it is similarly carried out by the Spanish Embassy.
The new procedure will be implemented during the first quarter of 2018, according to Echorouk’s sources stemming from the Algerian Popular Credit Bank (CPA).
The application payment in cash is to be canceled at the visa application center and replaced by an account with the Algerian CPA Bank through the electronic card issued by the Algerian CPA Bank, where the concerned party will directly deduct the financial amount through the smart card in a safe manner in a bid to end the chaos which beset the process of obtaining Schengen visas.
This chaotic situation prompted of late the French Embassy to terminate the relationship with the “TS Contact”, and the payment process will thus now be identical to the method adopted by the Spanish Embassy in Algeria.
On the sidelines of a workshop on e-financial transactions at the Palace of Exhibitions organized by the Association of Professional Banks and Financial Institutions, the head of the Algerian CPA Bank, Mr. Omar Boudiab, confirmed in a statement to “Echorouk” on Monday that an important and ambitious program for 2018, will not only aim to finance housing projects but also the largest sectors, with on focus transportation and tourism in addition to a huge project with the Visa File Processing Center, which will replace TLS Contact, stressing that the relevant agreement is expected to come into force during the first quarter of next year.
The French Embassy in Algeria is expected to sign a new contract by 2018 with the PLS International Center now in charge of processing visa applications to Spain.
