Mourad Meghni: "I will be back on the pitch in 2 weeks' time"
Algeria International Mourad Meghni
The Algerian International who plays for Italy's Lazio of Rome, Mourad Meghni, has affirmed that he will be back to the competition in about 2 weeks' time at the latest after sustaining a thigh injury 3 days ago during a training session with his Italian premiership squad.
- The Algerian midfielder who displayed all his talent and prowess during the recent Algeria-Rwanda World cup qualifier in Blida, reassured the Fennecs' fans, stressing that his left thigh injury was not all that worrying.
- "I am confident about my ability and resourcefullness to take up again with official competion in a short period of time", Meghni asserted
- He indicated that the ongoing intensive care extended to him by his club's medical staff would surely allow him to come back hale and hearty shortly, in order to be quite ready for "the top of the table" World cup qualifier between Algeria and Egypt slated for November 14th in Cairo stadium.
- On account of this hapless injury, Mourad Meghni was unable to take part in the latest Italian first-division championship fixture opposing Lazio of Rome and Sampdoria of Genoa, but the Algerian midfielder is said to have all the chances to be physically fit again in about a fortnight or so, according to the Lazio medical staff.
