Algerian coach to fans: Be Fair Play
Rabah Saadane
The Algerian head coach Rabah Saadane yesterday revealed to “Ehourok” that his players are ready for today’s match versus Zambia and that the president of the FAF, Mohammed Raouraua has done his utmost to put the squad in the best conditions possible since the beginning of their training camp a week ago.
- Q: 24 hours to the decisive math versus Zambia how is the player state of mind?
- A: Thanks God everything is ok and everybody is aware about the responsibility they shoulder, their spirit is high and we are looking forward to confirming that during the match.
- Q: Some talk about pressure that might be put on you?
- A: We are completely immune from any kind of pressure, we have avoided this constraint thanks to our isolation within the military hotel of Beni Messous and I’m seizing this opportunity to thank the officials who didn’t spare energy to create an idyllic atmosphere for us.
- Q: Are the “Greens “ ( Algerian squad nickname) ready for the match in Blida?
- A: We are hundred per cent ready except some minor sets up, on the whole we are on top.
- Q: What about Antar Yahia’s injury?
- A: All the players are fit for this match and Antar Yahia will be in the starting line- up.
- Q: How do you figure the scenario of the match?
- A: The task is tricky, if we consider that the Zambians will play their last chance today that’s why we have o be extremely cautious and be humble to avoid bad surprise.
- Q: What can you say to millions of Algerians who are living on their nerves before the match?
- A: I understand their worries; it recalls me the general mood that was prevailing before the match versus Egypt, but I promise the Algerian people that we are going to do our utmost to beat Zambia at the same time I call on the fans who will flock to the stadium, to be fair play and avoid skirmishes especially the use of fireworks.
