Huge Bonuses Await Algeria Players
THE Algerian football federation has staked huge bonuses for the national football team-Fennecs should they win Sunday's World Cup/ Africa Nations Cup qualifier against Rwanda.
- According to elmoudjahid.com, the Algerian federation has doubled the cash prize for each Fennecs player from Rwf83m to Rwf166m for the qualifier which will be played at Tchaker Stadium of Blida (50km southeast of Algiers).
- A win for Algeria will take them closer to a slot at next year's World Cup in South Africa.
- The North Africans top the group with 10 points, three clear of African champions Egypt. Zambia are third with four points while Rwanda seat at the bottom with one point.
- Amavubi reached Algiers yesterday afternoon after having two stop-overs in Addis Ababa (Ethiopia) and Paris (France).
- The Algeria-Amavubi clash will be preceded by the Egypt -Zambia tie on Saturday.
- Only the top team in each of the five groups qualifies to play in South Africa.
